Merlin Report Magic for Excel is a product from MerlinConnect that gives your Microsoft Excel users instant spreadsheets from any Lotus Domino-based intranet or web site.
MRM for Excel has been designed to be simplicity itself - no complicated forms to fill out. You predefine the reports (using a browser) that you want to make available and your users use their browser to select the report from a list and get the information in real time direct from the intranet or web site. It is perfect for a financial report or a mail merge into Microsoft Word from the Lotus Notes address book.
Each report is generated from a Lotus Notes web view, but before it reaches the user the Excel table can be processed to include or exclude rows based on a data value. For example, you can choose to include the records for only one year or one location. You can even use values from within the documents, rather than the values in the view columns.
Many Lotus Notes views are categorised - something MRM for Excel handles with ease. You can leave the category rows in the final spreadsheet, leave them out or show only the categories.

FeaturesMRM for Excel is a web-enabled Lotus Notes database, designed to fit within your existing web site. The managment of report definitions as well as the page for user requests are all accessed through a browser. Security of all data is controlled by Lotus Domino and users are not able to run reports against databases they do not have at least access to view.
Data is reported from Lotus Notes databases on the same web server as MRM in realtime. No data is stored or cached in MRM. The MRM database only stores report definitions.
MRM for Excel is available for Domino servers running version 6.5 or later and on any operating system.
