Administration Tools for Lotus Notes & DominoMerlinConnect provides a comprehensive range of software tools to aid developers and administrators manage their Lotus notes and Domino developments and domains.These tools have been designed to provide maximum power and flexibility whilst being easy to use. “Database Auditor” – Database management tool Database auditor collects very detailed information about databases, templates and other files (including mail files) on each server and combines this with system information such as server and domain names, mail addresses, cluster names and more. The tool has user selectable displays to enable administrators of Domino systems to analyse the information they require. The tool also provides historical and audit trail information to track usage and changes. “Vortex” – Database replication tool For Domino to operate across multiple “clustered” servers each database and mail server must be replicated on every server. Vortex monitors the Cluster Directory every few minutes and checks for databases in the directory that do not have a replica on the local server. When it finds missing replicas, Vortex creates them automatically. It can be set to manage specific databases only in specific directories if required. Vortex also logs any problems it finds in the normal server log file for the administrator to resolve. “Cascade” – Database synchronization, splitting and combining Cascade solves the task of logically splitting or combining Lotus Notes databases and keeping them synchronised. For example, it enables an administrator to maintain separate individual databases but combine them for overall group requirements. A built in scheduler provides control of automatic synchronisation. “Serverscope” – Domino performance monitoring Serverscope provides real time performance monitoring information for multiple servers. The customisable displays include graphical capability and enable tracking and trend analysis of key performance indicators and much more. If a database is created or deleted, Auditor makes sure you know about it.
